“Greetings.

I wish to convey my gratitude to both MS Tan Kai Lee and Ms S. Ranjeetha for their superb efforts shown at SMK Jalan Reko for the year 2012 and 2013.  I am a parent. My name is Rozita Mat Aris and I have twin boys attending the said school.

I remember Ahmad Zikry would come home from school and tell me stories about what Ms Kai Lee did or asked them to do in class.  When I could not send him to school earlier, he would wake up at 5 am in the morning to catch the school bus at 6.15 am because ‘Ms Kai Lee wants to see us’.  They both were in the afternoon session and would only come home at 7.30 pm, completely exhausted but happy when he got home.  She made learning fun.  For that I thank her.  When my hope for public education reached its lowest, along come people like you guys who would restore my faith yet again.  Learning should be fun.  School should be fun and stress free.

I would also like to thank Ms Ranjeetha for taking the trouble to teach and introduce choral speaking to SMK Jalan Reko.  Ahmad Fikry is an introvert and when he went up the stage and performed, I was so proud and grateful to the teacher who made it happen.   The whole school now know what choral speaking is.  My husband and I were the parents who came to one practice session because I would like to see the teacher who took the trouble to introduce, coach and patiently train them.  You did a good job Ms Ranjeetha.  Congratulations.

It is sad to see you both have to leave the school but good things (in this case, experience) should be shared.  I hope more children would have the experience that my boys had.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Best Regards,
Rozita Mat Aris”

Recently, we received the following email from a parent whose children were taught by two of our 2012 Fellows, Ranjeetha Sivajanam and Tan Kai Lee. It’s feedback like this that keeps us going. Thank you, Pn Rozita!
