What Is the TFM Fellowship Programme (Guru Muda)?
The TFM Fellowship Programme (Guru Muda) is a 2-year-long programme aiming to develop the leadership potential, learning and facilitation skills (PdPc) of teachers with less than 5 years of teaching experience, in line with the Program Pembangunan Guru Baharu 2.0 (PPGB) 2.0 and Pelan Induk Pembangunan Profesionalisme Keguruan (PIPPK).
Objectives of the Programme
The TFM Fellowship Programme (Guru Muda) highlights 4 key objectives that are aligned with the potential of new teachers in the Ministry of Education.
- Develop the leadership potential and PdPc of new teachers in schools in line with PPGB 2.0 and
PIPPK. - Implement innovative PdPc in schools as well as in collaboration with the local community.
- Increase student motivation and attendance at schools.
- Increase studentsβ aspirations to continue learning and be leaders of their own learning.
Who Should Join?
The TFM Fellowship Programme (Guru Muda Pathway) is specially tailored for new teachers entering the Ministry of Education. To be eligible, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Currently teaching in Johor, Perak, Selangor, or Sarawak
- Currently teaching in SK, SMK, SJK, SMJK, Orang Asli/Orang Asal schools
- Β A permanent teacher within 0-5 years of service from your date of appointment (including COS/ Interim teachers)
- School requirements:
- Has majority B40 students
Not a SKM (Sekolah Kurang Murid) school
- Subject requirements (teaching at least one of the subjects)
- Primary (SK): Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Inggeris, Science, Mathematics, History, or Guru Pemulihan Khas
- Secondary (SMK): Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Inggeris, History
